DESCRIPTION:
Waltham Watch Co., Switzerland, a triangular Masonic wrist watch, 17 jewels, manual winding ETA cal. 2540 nickel plate movement with lever escapement, in a gold plated, triangular case, the bezel decorated with a square link chain pattern an open ring and Freemason insignia at 12:00, white painted metal dial with Masonic symbol markers rendered in polychrome, black painted stick and triangle hands, forming a trowel when pointing to opposite sides of the dial, 37mm x 43mm, c1955, with black lizard strap and gilt buckle.
CONDITION:
CASE: Dings and pin pricks; Minor scratches on outer surface of case; Gold plating with significant wear; Chain link pattern and insignia with wear; Plastic crystal with scratches. DIAL: Crazing, otherwise very good. HANDS: Very good. MOVEMENT PLATES: A few minor scratches, otherwise good. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks), low balance amplitude, needs service.
